Nicaury leads the Project Management Office at Junxion and thrives at the intersection of people, process, and purpose.

She brings experience from corporate, nonprofit, and public sector projects to help organizations design and deliver initiatives that support more just, inclusive, and sustainable systems.

Foundational Moments

Nicaury believes that well‑designed programs can open opportunities and strengthen communities.

During her time working at EY and completing her degree in Business Management in the Dominican Republic, she supported multiple departments with coordination and administration, building her operational foundations.

At the same time, she invested deeply in community-focused work. For more than seven years, she volunteered with TECHO Latam—a nonprofit that seeks to improve housing conditions, basic services, and infrastructure in the Dominican Republic and Latin America.

How a skillset in delivering collaborative, well-managed projects can make an impact on local communities.

In this role, she helped to build houses for families to secure decent housing, addressing the housing shortage caused by poverty or environmental crises that affect thousands of people.

She also worked as a program coordinator with a US-based nonprofit, Global Glimpse, with educational programs across the Caribbean, Latin America, and Central America—expanding perspectives and unlocking leadership potential for youth from the US and diverse backgrounds. She worked with staff from the nonprofit, as well as locals, to create and lead social impact projects to maintain and improve schools and community spaces, painting classrooms, adding infrastructure, providing waste management training, and developing youth-led English language programs. The program works with underserved communities and aims to create global citizens informed on Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) and the histories of colonization, slavery, and the communities they visited. Throughout these experiences, her project work was a practical driver of equity and opportunity.

What’s Your “Why?”

With this perspective, Nicaury moved into roles that supported communities through moments of transition.

In the healthcare sector, she engaged in leading strategic projects related to automation, process improvements, change management, medical equipment, partnerships and service deliverables, contributing to better treatment and patient outcomes while coordinating across the Caribbean and in complex stakeholder environments. After finishing her specialization in Tourism Management in Montreal, she relocated to Toronto and became involved in workforce innovation and newcomer‑focused projects with Ontario Tourism Education Corporation (OTEC), supporting hospitality workers to upskill and shift into new fields during the pandemic and later coordinating an IRCC‑funded, AI‑driven digital tool that helped newcomers map their skills to employment opportunities. Across these experiences, she focuses on designing and improving systems so that people can access the support, opportunities, and care they need when it matters most.

At Junxion, Nicaury focuses on how processes can support inclusion, accountability, and long-term resilience. She has managed complex strategic planning engagements such as BC Cancer Foundation and Action Canada, coordinating stakeholders, timelines, and delivery so that the Board, staff, and partners can participate meaningfully in decisions that shape future impact.

Project management is about making sure that the right people, structures, and tools are in place to support meaningful, equitable outcomes.

Across these engagements, her role is a connector: aligning decision-makers, technology, and community needs so that systems work better for people.

Unique Positioning

Nicaury is PMP-certified and has completed a certificate in Sustainable Business Strategy from Harvard Business School, which strengthened her understanding of ESG, B Corp, and the role of business in driving social and environmental change. She is currently working towards getting certified as a Sustainable Project Professional (CSPP).

Nicaury is an active promoter of Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI). She is one of the leaders of Women in Agile Toronto, helping create space for women in the project management field to share knowledge and amplify their voices. She has also volunteered with Hispanotech, supporting the Latin community in Canada through education, professional development, and job search support.

Creating space for underrepresented and underappreciated voices in the field to share their perspectives and bring valuable knowledge.

At Junxion, this blend of technical project management expertise, cross-sector experience, and deep commitment to equity and inclusion positions Nicaury as a partner who can help clients move complex initiatives from concept to implementation, keeping human impact at the centre of the work.

Based in Toronto, Ontario, Nicaury loves travelling, gardening, learning languages, swimming, hiking, reading, practising yoga, and meditation.
