Liz Vossen’s career has been built at the junction of business and social impact. Liz earned her Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia where she specialized in finance. In 2014 she returned to the academic setting to complete her Master’s of Social Policy Research at the London School of Economics. 

Liz was a founding team member of Canada’s first social impact venture fund at Vancity in 2009 helping to finance and grow social impact ventures across BC. Liz spent seven years living and working in the UK first working as a consultant advising clients on how to define, measure and deepen their social impact. Later Liz worked with Nesta, the world’s leading innovation foundation, leveraging different innovation methods and tools to solve persistent social challenges. Liz has extensive experience with social startups looking to challenge the status quo. Liz has coached entrepreneurs, supported business plan creation, designed impact accelerator programs and helped businesses get their pitch ready for investment.

Liz values curiosity, creativity, and collaboration. As a seasoned project lead, she curates teams and guides projects from inception through delivery all with a learning-centered lens. Liz’s consulting career has spanned a decade and multiple industries including health, tech, energy, government, international development, social entrepreneurship and more. She leads with a mix of curiosity and practicality, and is particularly passionate about organizations willing to push the boundaries of what is possible.
