Chantal is a social entrepreneur, community leader, and brand strategist with a 10-year background in developing and implementing distinctive business and marketing communications strategies for mission-driven ventures and non-profit organisations.
She has been engaged by a diverse list of game changers including FeedingChange, Earthcycle Packaging, Renewal2 Investment Fund, Artists For Conservation, Royal Roads University, and the Thomas Group. At Junxion, she has supported with projects for Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, Mountain Equipment Co-op, 1% for the Planet, Make Music Matter, and ACT Foundation, among others. Chantal started her career working for PricewaterhouseCoopers and CIBC Wood Gundy, in addition to Travel Underwriters, where she led the marketing for clients Vancity Visa, BCAA, Coast Capital, Allstate, ATB, and HSBC.
In 2010, she co-founded and led Climb For Change, the first online community and crowdfunding platform for charity climbs and adventures worldwide, and coached campaign leaders worldwide on running successful charity adventures. She also co-led two climbing campaigns (Kilimanjaro and Pico de Orizaba), raising over $200,000 for the Power To Be Adventure Therapy Society. In 2012, Chantal and her husband co-produced and premiered the documentary, ‘Beyond the Gates of Phu,’ which has since been screened at international film festivals.
She holds a Master of Arts in Professional Communication, a Bachelor of Commerce in International Business, and a Marketing Management Certificate in Public Relations.
With a passion for travel, culture, and the great outdoors, Chantal has hiked and climbed with her husband, Mike, in Tanzania, Nepal, Bhutan, Switzerland, Mexico, USA, and extensively in the mountain ranges of western Canada. She is a student of Eastern philosophies and holistic health and nutrition.
